What Happens During Normal Delivery?

On arrival at the hospital, the condition of women is assessed, including the vital signs of a pulse, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature. The baby's condition is also checked with a monitor that measures the baby's heart rate and the length and frequency of uterine contractions.

The woman is encouraged to empty her bladder regularly and eat and drink at will throughout labor. She also taught breathing techniques that focus on a long slow breath and relax with the breath.  To find more about the normal delivery visit https://www.jacarandamaternity.co.ke/labor-and-delivery.

Moving around is usually encouraged during the first stage of work because it helps in the delivery progress and can help women manage their pain.

Regarding the preparation, there is no evidence that shaving pubic hair or routine use of an enema (to empty the bowel) for admission has beneficial effects during childbirth.

The beginning of labor is identified by regular contraction coordinates (tightening sensation with pain), which make the cervix (neck of the uterus) to become more precise, then erasing dilate (open).

A "show" is perhaps there when a small amount of blood-stained mucous membrane detaches from the cervix (although it can occur up to 72 hours before the start of labor), or the breaking of waters (ruptured membranes), with a jet of fluid from the private part.

In 90% of cases, contractions begin before the waters break. In 10% of cases, the water break is the first sign of labor.
